Inside Santa's Candy Castle
Santa’s Candy Castle is a unique candy destination that truly offers something for everyone. We have the nostalgic old-school candy your great-grandparents loved as kids, the newest hard-to-find candy your kids just saw on TikTok, and everything in-between. Regardless of your age, we promise to make you feel like a kid in a candy store! But beyond all the candy, the most
important thing to us is welcoming each and every guest into the castle as a
member of our own family. Life is tough and we hope to brighten your day
during your visit and leave a smile on your face after you leave. Guests typically spend about 1/2 hour to 1 hour at the castle. The castle was built at the height of the Great Depression and was just one of many buildings in a larger attraction, so it isn’t a huge building by modern tourism standards. But we do have four rooms packed full of some of the best candy and confections on the planet, so we think you’ll have fun. There's no admission. We don't try to sell. We just want you to come visit us and check out the historic castle. There are some great historic photos of the castle's first 88 years on display throughout the castle. They're pretty cool if you like that sort of thing. The castle is in a rural area, so we have a gravel parking lot and walkways. There is one small step up to enter the historic castle, one small step down to exit the castle, and inside the castle there are two larger steps between interior rooms. While we love the historic castle and care greatly about preserving such an important part of American history, we do wish that accessibility was considered when it was built back in the 1930's. If there is anything that we can do to assist you during your visit, please don't hesitate to let us know. The castle is near a time-zone boundary, which is fun. We operate on Central Time (same as Chicago, one hour behind Louisville), but some of our neighbors are on Eastern Time. Please keep this in mind when visiting the area. We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, ApplePay, GooglePay, SamsungPay, Venmo, and Paypal. If you ever get something at the castle that you don’t love, please let us know so we can help you find something that you do love. On us. And if you ever have anything less than a magical experience at the castle, please let us know. You can call us at (800) 356-1935. It might look like a fancy toll-free number for a big company, but we’re just a really small family business with a really small staff. If we’re helping guests, we would never dream of interrupting their visit to answer the phone, so there’s a really good chance you might not catch us live. But just leave us a message and we’ll get back in touch with you. And we’ll work hard to make things right. Thanks for checking us out. We hope to see you at the castle!
PS If you visited a while ago, but haven’t been back since COVID, things are going to look a LOT different. In order to try to stay open during COVID restrictions, we completely revamped the interior of the castle. The North Pole Network and our tables & chairs in our dining area were removed and we filled in the empty space with retail shelves that helped us create social distancing and a one-way traffic flow. As tough as these changes were to make, it meant that we had WAY more candy than ever before. We received LOTS of positive comments from our guests. So as COVID wound down, we have maintained this greater selection of candy and confections, and our North Pole Network and our food challenges (Avalanche and Fire & Ice Challenge) remain on hold. |
